Local authors release new book
PublishAmerica announced this week the delivery of a new book, Innocent Blood, that is written by Vernal authors Glen J. Mecham and Diane Mecham. “Soldiers and founding fathers gave their innocent blood for American freedom,” stated Glen Mecham. “These courageous efforts are why we titled the book Innocent Blood.” Mecham explained that the freedom for which they bled has been masked by greed. And that the search for power and arrogance make freedom a hard task to learn. Mecham continued to state that our forefathers’ written philosophy emerged in the convention on May 29, 1787, giving the people power of ideas and thoughts over government and that “We the People” expresses majority rule in the first paragraph of the Constitution substantiating the power of the people. Mecham also feels that federal judges are changing American established laws for equality for special interest groups and foreigners and that this direction was not the true intentions of the founding fathers. “Americans now are experimenting with every fragment of European socialism, which will only bring division and chaos to America,” said Mecham. “If we don’t fight for our liberties and freedom now, there will be no liberties or freedom for which to fight.” Glen and Diane Mecham hold B.S. degrees in engineering, education, business, and English from major colleges. Diane’s professional career includes teaching English and computer science in public schools and legal secretary. Glen’s professional career includes engineer in southern Idaho, chief city electrical engineer, V.P. for Northwest Public Power, president of Snake River Power, and member of federal committee for the MX Missile. He is retired and taught public school.
