Manila plays in state Basketball tournament
Luke Slagowski played strong against the Piute T-Birds in Manilla’s opening game at the State Basketball Tournament held in Richfield last week. Manila defeated Westridge, but lost to Piute and White Horse.

The Manila Basketball squad made it to the state basketball tournament that was played last weekend in Richfield.

They were paired against number one ranked Piute High School on Wednesday. Manila lost this battle 54-34.

On thursday they were victorious over Westridge High School by a score of 64-52, but they lost to White Horse on Friday by a score of 44-32 which ended their state play.

Piute finished the tournament in 2nd place behind the champions from Bryce Valley.
